Pinhole Camera Demonstration

Enjoy an intriguing evening of photography and artistry at the AHA! Night Pinhole Camera Demonstration by renowned photographer David Walega, hosted at Kettle Black, New Bedford’s newest gallery space. Located at 1 Johnny Cake Hill, Kettle Black is a vibrant artist collective featuring the works of Kim Barry, Joan DeCollibus, Christy Gunnels, Butch McCarthy, Robin Nunes, and David Walega himself.

The event will showcase David Walega’s mastery in the art of pinhole photography, a process that harkens back to the roots of traditional photographic techniques. This is a fantastic opportunity to witness the delicate art of creating photographs without a lens, using a handmade, light-sensitive camera.
This demonstration is part of Kettle Black’s first group show, which is on display until May 31, 2025. Don’t miss the chance to explore unique artworks from this talented collective while enjoying a hands-on learning experience in photography.

The gallery is open on Fridays and Saturdays, from 3 PM – 7 PM on Fridays and 12 PM – 6 PM on Saturdays. Come visit, learn, and get inspired by the creative energy that fills the space.
