Lori Gomes was born to sing. Her vocal style reflects her early years watching her father, Kevin Gomes, and the legendary Tavares Brothers perform, adding to her love for classic Motown. She studied jazz and voice under the late Armsted Christian and pianist John Harrison. Her love of hip hop and funk has led to collaborations with New Bedford’s own Mikey Monteiro of Abstrakt Entertainment.
Beauty Union, owned by Lori, is centrally located within the historic hub of downtown New Bedford, her hometown.
