6th Annual AHA! PRIDE BLOCK PARTY

Join the Queer Arts Council of New Bedford for the 6th Annual AHA! Pride Block Party at the new location, Steeple Playhouse and Upper William Street! This annual celebration of LGBTQ+ culture, history, and pride will take place on William Street between 6th and 8th Streets. Starting at 5:00PM the street will be full of local craft vendors, community partners, circus arts, food trucks, live artists, and street performers. Inside the Steeple Playhouse don’t miss the live stage show from 6:00 – 8:00PM featuring drag artists, spoken word poetry, and live musicians hosted by Providence’s own Dr. Claire Annette, who is sure to bring the house down! From 8:00 – 10:00PM dance the night away with DJ Math3ca (Boston) on the decks. Be sure to wear your most festive Pride attire to let everyone know that #rainbowisthenewbeige !

The AHA! Pride Block Party is supported in part by the Wicked Cool Places grant funded by the City of New Bedford, through American Rescue Plan awards, and its Arts, Culture and Tourism Fund, and is facilitated by New Bedford Creative at the NBEDC. Also supported by the Mass Cultural Council.
