YouthBuild New Bedford is a transformative program for young adults ages 16–24 who are ready to take control of their future. Participants work toward earning their Hi-SET (GED) while gaining hands-on vocational training in non-traditional career pathways and get paid while learning.

Our program combines education, job training, leadership development, and real-world experience to help students build confidence, discipline, and career-ready skills. We are grounded in the values of teamwork, commitment, ambition, responsibility, and self-discipline.

Nativity Preparatory School is an independent, tuition-free middle school that provides a comprehensive education tailored to serve boys of all faiths in grades 5 – 8 from economically-disadvantaged families in the Greater New Bedford area. Our program graduates young men who are confident, self-disciplined, intellectually ambitious, and socially and academically prepared for high school; young men who are ready to serve others and be positive citizens in life.

Our dedicated teachers engage students in meaningful classes that build fundamental skills, confidence, and a love of learning. Vigorous academics are coupled with positive character development as students explore our Core Values of Excellence, Community, Civic Engagement and Leadership.

Mobile Adventures brings free nature play & exploration experiences to youth in the city! We travel to communities in New Bedford, Fall River and Boston, providing fun, hands-on, and educational nature programs for children and families. A program of The Trustees of Reservations, a nonprofit dedicated to environmental conservation, Mobile Adventures aims to expand access to nature and highlight the special places being preserved across Massachusetts.

The Beyond House is a Young Adult Access Center that is a low barrier (free, drop-in, no referral, or diagnosis needed). This is a youth-driven safe space for Young Adults 16-25 years old, providing services up until their 26th birthday. Young Adults receive support from 2 Young Adult Peer Mentors, an Outreach and Engagement Specialist, and a TIP Facilitator, all with lived experience as they support the Young Adult transition to adulthood. The Beyond House, YAAC is a Culturally Responsive setting that is welcoming to racially and ethnically diverse young adults and LGBTQ+ youth. We are inclusive of all races, cultures, gender identities, religion, and sexual orientations.
